ANHEUSER-BUSCH DONATES $25,000 TO UJA FEDERATION OF NORTHERN NEW JERSEY

NEWARK, N.J. (Nov. 16, 2005) - Continuing a company heritage of supporting the UJA Federation of Northern New Jersey, Bob Rogers, Anheuser-Busch Newark brewery plant manager (second from left), and Mike Kraskow, Newark brewery Human Resources manager (far right), present a check for $25,000 to Ken Saibel, UJA campaign director (far left), and David Goodman, UJA campaign vice chairman.

The donation will support a wide variety of health, education and human services coordinated through the agency, including group meal sites, Kosher Meals on Wheels, educational programs for children with developmental disabilities, vocational training for those who have lost their jobs and camp programs for children with cancer.

 “The Jewish Federation offers a broad range of humanitarian programs in New Jersey and in many other communities across the country,” said Rogers .  “Anheuser-Busch has enjoyed a long tradition of charitable giving in our communities, and we are pleased to continue supporting UJA's efforts to make northern New Jersey an even better place to live and work.”

For 13 consecutive years, Anheuser-Busch has supported the annual campaign of the Federation, which serves more than 100,000 Jewish residents in northern New Jersey .  Since 1993, Anheuser-Busch has donated $280,000 locally and more than $5.3 million to Jewish agencies nationwide.

“We are deeply grateful for the generous support Anheuser-Busch continues to provide our community,” said Daniel Silna, president of the UJA Federation.  “This donation will enable our network of 84 beneficiary agencies and community services to make a difference in the lives of people in our community who need assistance.”
