ANHEUSER-BUSCH MERRIMACK BREWERY WELCOMES THE RETURN OF UNIQUE AND EXOTIC CARS

Proceeds Benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Hampshire

MERRIMACK, N.H. (Aug. 4, 2008) – Looking for a fun weekend activity? The Anheuser-Busch brewery in Merrimack may have the answer for fans of unusual and exotic cars. Visitors to the 4th annual Northeast Exotic Car Show will see nearly 200 rare autos on display at the Anheuser-Busch Merrimack brewery beginning at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 16.

The Exotic Car Show, hosted by the New England Region of the Viper Club of America, begins at 10 a.m., judging starts at noon and the awards presentation at 3 p.m. Billed as a “People’s Choice” car show, the winners will be selected by show attendees via secret ballot. Dodge Viper, Pantera, Acura MSX, DeLorean, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW, Maseratti and TVR and Jaguar are a few of the models scheduled for display.

Over the past three years, the event raised nearly $30,000 for Make-A-Wish Foundation® of New Hampshire. The car entry fee is a $20 donation and although the car show is free to the public, donations to Make-A-Wish will be accepted. All proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish to help the organization grant the wishes of terminally ill children in the Nashua area.

“We enjoy sharing our beautiful grounds with several local organizations to host charitable events,” said John Mills, plant manager, Anheuser-Busch Merrimack brewery. “This event is especially gratifying because the funds raised grant the wishes of some very special children who live in our area.”

In addition to rare and unusual cars, the show will feature live music and special appearances by the Viperettes.

While enjoying the car show, visitors also may take a free tour of the Anheuser-Busch Merrimack brewery and learn how the world’s best-selling beers, Budweiser and Bud Light, are brewed. Daily tours are conducted from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The brewery tour includes an opportunity to visit the Merrimack Hamlet, the Northeastern home of the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales. Budweiser Clydesdale Camera Days occur between 1 and 3 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month. Guests can watch the horses being groomed and bring their cameras to take pictures with a world-famous Budweiser Clydesdale. Remaining Budweiser Clydesdale Camera Days for 2008 are Saturdays: Sept. 6, Oct. 4, Nov. 1 and Dec. 6.

After the tour, guests who are 21 years of age or older may sample a variety of Anheuser-Busch premium beers. Gift Shop hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Anheuser-Busch brewery is located at 221 Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack. Take Route 3 (Everett Turnpike) to Exit 10 (Industrial Drive). Travel east to Daniel Webster Highway and turn left.
