Five-Day Event at Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Features Exclusive Parties and a Private Concert Performance
ST. LOUIS (March 16, 2010) – Bud Light is teaming up with the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to host the “World's Largest Pool Party” March 17–21 at the hotel's new HRH Beach Club pool paradise.
On the heels of the brand’s 11-day hotel takeover in South Beach during football’s biggest week, Bud Light now sets its sights on the five-day pool party complete with an exclusive reception hosted by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Friday, March 19, a private concert performance on Saturday, March 20 featuring The All-American Rejects, and thousands of adult Bud Light drinkers socializing poolside throughout the weekend.
“Bud Light is always at the center of the action,” said Mike Sundet, senior director of Bud Light brands. “With St. Patrick's Day, Spring Break and March hoops taking place the same week, we couldn’t think of a better time to bring 3,000 adult Bud Light drinkers together to celebrate at the World's Largest Pool Party.”
ABC's “Jimmy Kimmel Live” is sending its correspondent, Yehya Mohamed, to be an honorary lifeguard at the World's Largest Pool Party and introduce The All-American Rejects performance for the live music segment on a future show broadcast. Additionally, SIRIUS XM"s Covino & Rich will broadcast their satellite radio show – a daily dose of celebrity guests, girls, music, relationship talk and tales from the red carpet – live poolside March 17-19 from 6-9 p.m. ET (SIRIUS XM Stars, SIRIUS 108/XM 139).
For those unable to make it to Las Vegas, Bud Light is partnering with Ustream to stream live video of The All-American Rejects concert on March 20. Adults 21 years old and older can become a fan of the official Bud Light Facebook page and view the performance on their personal laptops and computers.
Bud Light provided adult consumers an opportunity to win access to the World’s Largest Pool Party and a stay at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel & Casino through local bar promotions and register-to-win opportunities at www.budlightpoolparty.com.
To assist the hotel's bars and restaurants in confirming individuals who purchase alcohol are of legal drinking age, Anheuser-Busch is providing I.D.-checking materials as part of its We I.D. program, including drivers' license books and legal age calendars.
